Nuance Communications, Inc. announced that it has acquired eCopy, a provider of solutions for integrating paper documents into business software applications. This combines Nuance’s multifunction printer (MFP) desktop solutions with eCopy’s server offerings to provide improved network scanning solutions which connect the widest range of MFPs to a broad set of business applications and content management systems.
Nuance Communications, Inc., one of the leading providers of speech and imaging solutions for businesses and consumers worldwide, announced that it has acquired eCopy, a provider of solutions for integrating paper documents into business software applications. This combines Nuance’s multifunction printer (MFP) desktop solutions with eCopy’s server offerings to provide improved network scanning solutions which connect the widest range of MFPs to a broad set of business applications and content management systems. eCopy’s network scanning solutions are offered by leading MFP vendors including Canon, HP, Konica Minolta, Océ, Ricoh, Toshiba and Xerox. eCopy’s solutions support document connectivity to more than 100 enterprise applications, such as Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentum, Oracle and SAP. Nowadays many organizations combine scanning software with intelligent MFP devices in order to reduce costs and increase productivity.
