Canon Partners with I.R.I.S. to Broaden Customer Reach

          Canon Europe has announced that it has signed an agreement with I.R.I.S. which will enable Canon to broaden its customer reach. Canon will be reselling I.R.I.S.’ business solutions range. I.R.I.S. delivers an automated document and information capture solution which can be integrated with Canon’s document management portfolio, which includes eCopy, ADOS and NT‐ware.

           Canon will focus on IRISPowerscan and IRISPdf Server to expand its scanning offerings and also to support its customers’ document management needs. These solutions allow users to scan, sort, structure, index and convert documents to fully searchable text and PDF files.
            Adam Gillbe, European Solutions Marketing Manager, Canon Europe said, “Strategic partnerships are hugely important to Canon. This new partnership with I.R.I.S. enables Canon to provide its customers with a superior document capture and management solution. There has always been a great synergy between Canon and I.R.I.S. and this partnership is a natural way for us to strengthen and grow our position in the market.”
            Dr. Pierre De Muelenaere, President and CEO, I.R.I.S. said, “We are excited about working with Canon to offer a complete document capture and management solution. The partnership will ensure even more users benefit from our sophisticated scanning, OCR, data extraction and compression capabilities. I.R.I.S. will complement Canon’s already strong offering with its expertise in document workflow, giving customers a strong, complete solution.”
