ABBYY UK Ltd and Sigma, a distributor of technical, development and business software, have announced a distribution agreement for the United Kingdom and Ireland. This relationship will create demand for ABBYY products and will help to increase the customer reach through the distribution channels.

We will be introducing ABBYY to our entire customer base as their products already have good traction within a large number of verticals including government, finance, healthcare and education,” says Jane Silk, Head of Vendor Relations Sigma software Distribution.
            Sigma will be distributing a variety of ABBYY products. This range includes the desktop OCR applications ABBYY FineReader Professional, Corporate, and Express Edition for Mac. The software converts paper documents to editable data. Other products included in the agreement are ABBYY PDF Transformer, the linguistic software ABBYY Lingvo, as well as ABBYY Recognition Server. “Our products allow people to access information contained in paper, scans and PDFs. Both individuals and large enterprises can benefit from the increased productivity and reduced costs that result from using ABBYY products,” explains Dave Evans, Sales Director for ABBYY UK. “Sigma has been very successful over a long period in the retail distribution market and we are genuinely happy to be teaming up with them. Their strong relationships will help bring ABBYY products to new customers and markets.”
