Pegasus Imaging Corporation has acquired Accusoft’s imaging business and is now called Accusoft Pegasus. This makes Accusoft Pegasus the largest single source provider of imaging software development kits and viewers.
The Accusoft Pegasus name reflects the strength of the combined company and its dedication to both Accusoft and Pegasus customers. Accusoft Pegasus clients will benefit from increased product offerings, and improved customer support. “Even in a recession, there is opportunity for growth,” says Jack Berlin, Accusoft Pegasus president and founder of Pegasus Imaging. “We saw the opportunity to become a stronger company and we took it. Our strategic activities during the last 90 days rewarded us with more products, more knowledge and more development experience than any of our competitors.” Pegasus Imaging was founded in 1991. The company’s headquarters are Tampa, Florida. Technologies from Accusoft Pegasus are delivered for MS .NET, Silverlight, ActiveX, AJAX, ASP.NET, Windows Workflow, and Java environments. They supports various 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, such as Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac OSX, Linux, Sun Solaris, and IBM AIX. After buying Accusoft, Pegasus Imaging Corporation also acquired Tasman Software in order to expand its barcode offerings. More information can be found at www.accusoft.com.
