APT has released a new bollard for anti terror and anti ram purposes. The APT30 "complete" is designed to address common problems with existing products.
All current foundation bollards are tested in sets of 3. They are also seen to be cost prohibitive, need complex installation and are heavy to maneuver. The medium depth bollards, on the other hand, require foundation depth of minimum 650mm, are tested in sets of 3, and require sophisticated and expensive foundation design activity. The APT30 "complete" can withstand impacts of up to 7.5ton at 30mph. It offers the following features:
- The bollard is tested as a single unit
- Requires a foundation of only 400mm
- It is much lighter than other shallow bollards, which makes it easy to install and position
- Does not require connections during installation
- Uses less material than any other type of shallow bollards
- The bollard comes with its foundation cage
