I.R.I.S. has put in place a balloting solution in France. I.R.I.S.’s solution is named “Vote Processing Solution”, and it was used for the tenant representatives elections with the boards of directors of social housing agencies in France.
The housing organizations are private and public. Part of their activities is to build housing facilities in accordance with modern requirements, including housing for aged or disabled people, or housing for young families and students. I.R.I.S. was selected to implement a vote processing solution. I.R.I.S.’s responsibilities in this project included manufacturing, delivering and implementation of the balloting hardware, as well as processing the votes and consolidating the results. I.R.I.S. has used its scanning software IRISPowerscanTM for the counting of the balloting paper documents and for generating PDF files for archiving. The company had to take into consideration the fact that these documents are of confidential nature and had to keep the integrity of the balloting process. I.R.I.S.’s solution is fully capable to suit many different kinds of balloting and vote return methods, including by letter, over the Internet or at meetings. I.R.I.S. has a 15-year track record in digitization and document recognition technologies. More information about the company and its products is available at http://www.irislink.com.
