Parascript has collaborated with Jara Diversified Services, manufacturer of Check 21 software for branch capture, remote deposit, and remittance processing, to enable remote deposit capture. With the technology from Parascript, Jara Diversified Services (JDS) has started clearing some of the Check 21 items.
The Check Clearing allows recipients of paper checks to create digital versions of the checks in order to eliminate the need for handling the physical documents. This also saves financial institutions precious time and money. ”Parascript has helped JDS meet the demands of Check 21 and in so doing, has helped make history in the check processing industry. Parascript has been a responsive provider of quality software in the Check 21 industry, and we look forward to many more years of success with them as our business partner,” said Steve Jara, owner of Jara Diversified Services.
So far, Parascript and JDS have converted a large number of clients to Check 21 processing. Jara Diversified Services has 100 corporations and 124 financial institutions which use the integrated solution, including banks, savings and loans institutions.
JDS has chosen Parascript’s CheckPlus to recognize the information from the documents. The solution processes the documents, and automates the check and legal amount recognition. “Parascript is pleased to work with industry leaders such as JDS, one of our first Check 21 partners, to not only meet, but exceed industry standards,” said Mike Fenton, vice president of sales and operations for Parascript. “We have come a long way since Check 21 was enacted and are proud to have forged the way for others in the process.”
