Mark Laret, CEO of University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center, has recently joined Nuance’s board of directors.
Mr. Laret is well-known in the healthcare industry. He serves as a chief executive officer at the UCSF Medical Center, overseeing more than 7,000 employees. Mr. Laret has held a variety of leadership positions in the University of California Irvine Medical Center and University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Mr. Laret has a Masters Degree from the University of Southern California as well as a Bachelors Degree from UCLA. “Mark is a strong CEO and leader in healthcare, and we look forward to benefiting from his thoughtful insight and broad experience as a member of our board,” said Paul Ricci, chairman and CEO, Nuance Communications. “We believe Mark’s business acumen and firm understanding of the role technology plays in healthcare can greatly influence Nuance’s strategic growth.”
