Nuance document imaging products will now support EMC Captiva ISIS, the interface for scanners.
This agreement with EMC will allow Nuance to extend its line of office productivity applications. ISIS support will be included into Nuance PDF Converter Professional, Nuance PaperPort, and Nuance OmniPage Professional. ISIS scanner driver support will be included in the Nuance OmniPage Capture software development. “There is increasing demand for professional-level scanning at the desktop,” said Barry Ruditsky, vice president of OEM Sales, Content Management and Archiving Division at EMC. “The combination of Nuance desktop applications and EMC Captiva ISIS technology will allow Nuance to extend the benefit of ISIS scanning on the desktop to office workers worldwide.”

“Nuance’s desktop productivity applications are renown for leading accuracy and innovative features,” said Robert Weideman, general manager and senior vice president of the Nuance Document Imaging Division. “ISIS will help us take document productivity to the next level, providing our users with faster, higher quality and more reliable scans.”
