I.R.I.S., a company specialized in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Optimized IT Infrastructure (ICT) has signed an ECM contract with the Commission of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). The agreement covers the implementation of I.R.I.S.’s solution for electronic document management, archiving and cooperation, DocCenter. The UEMOA is a sub-regional organization between the following West African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo. It was created in 1994 with the aim of developing a common economic and monetary market, as well as greater regional integration with unified external tariffs. The organization has generated a huge amount of physical documents and multimedia archives, which make up the knowledge base of the institution. As the UEMOA’s physical archiving possibilities are saturated, the organization has entrusted I.R.I.S. with the task of digitizing paper documents and archiving electronic documents, such as multimedia files and those generated with office tools. Etienne Van de Kerckhove, CEO of the I.R.I.S. Group explains : “In the light of the customer specifications, we decided to propose I.R.I.S. DocCenter, a product developed in-house offering all the documentary and collaborative functions required by the UEMOA’s documentation centre as standard. We are thrilled to be able to include this prestigious international institution among our many customers”. Related Articles: I.R.I.S.
