ABBYY will be exhibiting at the 2010 GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 15-18, Stand 2B25 in Hall 2, together with its partners, beyo and Diotek. ABBYY will be showcasing its document recognition and language translation technologies as well as various end user applications for mobile devices.
ABBYY has also announced that it during the event will introduce a new version of its Mobile OCR Engine, a software development kit (SDK) for creating optical character recognition (OCR) and business card recognition (BCR) solutions. In addition, ABBYY, beyo and Diotek will display their Smartphone applications based on ABBYY’s recognition and linguistic technologies. ABBYY will demonstrate the following mobile applications: • ABBYY Business Card Reader — A mobile tool that transfers contact information from business cards to the mobile phone’s address book via the phone’s camera. • ABBYY FotoTranslate — An application which translates foreign words by photographing them. • ABBYY Lingvo Mobile —Multilingual dictionary software for smartphones and PDAs; • ABBYY Tutor — An application for memorizing foreign words. Among the beyo applications and technologies on display are: • beyoCBS Reader — Portable reading software which captures any text with a camera phone and reads it aloud. • beyoCBS Translator — Software that translates and reads aloud any text from mobile phones. • beyoCBS Auto Shoot mechanism — An application for capturing text with a phone’s camera. Diotek will demonstrate the following solutions: • MobiReader BCR — A program which recognizes information from images of business cards and sorts the data into the different fields of the phone book. • MobiReader Document OCR — Mobile application for recognizing printed documents in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and other languages. • Mobile Phone Dictionary — The application supports vocabulary look-up using an OCR engine and the phone’s camera.
