eCopy, Inc. and I.R.I.S. Group have expanded their partnership with two sales agreements. I.R.I.S. will be selling the eCopy document imaging software product range in Europe and eCopy will be offering I.R.I.S. production scanning software worldwide.

I.R.I.S. will be selling eCopy through its Professional Solutions Group, targeting enterprise customers. The group has more than 900 enterprise accounts using I.R.I.S. solutions, as well as third‐party software and hardware.
The I.R.I.S. scanning software portfolio of products offers capabilities for optical character recognition, form recognition, document compression, invoice reading, invoice classification as well as digital mailroom capabilities.
“This agreement further expands our longstanding and successful relationship with eCopy, which is the global market leader in document imaging software that addresses distributed and ad hoc needs,” said Pierre De Muelenaere, president and CEO, I.R.I.S. “eCopy’s ability to integrate our industry leading optical character recognition (OCR) technology with MFD document imaging makes it an ideal choice for customers looking to merge paper‐based information into business applications.”
eCopy products enable conversion of paper‐based information into electronic images. The software provides an intuitive interface which allows easy incorporation of documents into business software applications, such as MS SharePoint, EMC Documentum and Interwoven WorkSite.
I.R.I.S. Readiris OCR technology has been included into eCopy software products. Since 1998, 2.7 million licenses of Readiris embedded within eCopy document imaging solutions have been sold.
“Our two companies have enjoyed a very productive partnership for over ten years and this agreement deepens our shared commitment to help customers transform paperwork into business value,” said Edward Schmid, eCopy president and CEO. “Working with I.R.I.S. expands our current European sales profile and allies us with an organization that excels in selling software solutions. It also extends our Professional Services capabilities to address a broader range of customer needs.”
