Morningstar Systems, the Dutch subsidiary of I.R.I.S., a company specializing in intelligent document recognition, electronic document, content and process management and optimized IT infrastructure, has implemented the Livelink system at LOXIA.

LOXIA was in need of an application for integrated data and process management for developing and installing the management systems of ProRail’s railway operations. The process management system developed for this project, “Cardea-Light”, was based on Livelink.
LOXIA provides services for optimizing the handling of documents and the accommodating of document management associated with railways. The Dutch railway network manager, ProRail, was in charge of the organization, managing the POST-21 datasets. The datasets contain data relating to 13 administration systems, sending the rail traffic control information on track positions. To each process administration system corresponds a tree structure of documents, made up of several files containing the data of the subsystem. For each of the modification tasks, which are requested by ProRail, these files are made available for modification and after that resent to the manager.
Adrie Naeye, adviser specializing in railway control systems at LOXIA, said: “Seeking possible solutions for the working method described and desired by ProRail led us to choose Livelink as the basic system for storing these tree structures and files. Livelink’s acknowledged results, the expertise in the Livelink system enjoyed by I.R.I.S. – Morningstar Systems and the possibilities offered by I.R.I.S. – Morningstar Systems’ SOAP module, combined with Livelink’s tasks module, prompted us to collaborate with I.R.I.S. – Morningstar Systems in setting up the management system that we sought based on the Livelink system.”
“I.R.I.S. – Morningstar Systems and LOXIA have now been collaborating for eight years and both parties are completely satisfied,” said René Beulen, I.R.I.S. – Morningstar Systems sales manager. “Livelink is an excellent solution for this organisation since the structure helps optimise the business’s processes and puts in place clearly defined modification and project planning processes. We are extremely satisfied with the results and of course the excellent performance of Cardea-Light at the time of the buying test.”
