Accusoft Pegasus has announced the release of the ISIS Xpress v4 software development kit (SDK), which provides support for ISIS scanner drivers and features new usability capabilities. The SDK is available as an ActiveX a .NET toolkit.
Delivering the EMC Captiva ISIS technology, ISIS Xpress delivers to developers access to high-performance ISIS scanner features and also gives them the ability to build custom scanner interfaces within the applications. ISIS helps reduce the costs related to application development which is needed to support scanner usability features. The latest version features support for the latest scanner drivers. It is also certified for use with Windows 7. The additional features include the ability to display selectively only currently-connected scanners, the ability to access a new modal dialog option for scanner selection, and also to specify the location of ISIS driver files. Barry Ruditsky, Vice President of OEM Sales, Content Management and Archiving Division at EMC, said, “The EMC Captiva ISIS driver is the industry standard enterprise-level interface that works with most scanners to communicate seamlessly with applications.
