Accusoft Pegasus, provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs), has announced that its Imaging Tools now features full support for the latest Microsoft Windows operating system.
Software engineers can now use Accusoft Pegasus software development kits to build applications for Windows 7. Accusoft Pegasus was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The company specializes in providing imaging software development kits and image viewers. Examples of imaging technology solutions are optical character recognition (OCR), barcode, compression, editing, forms processing, PDF, scanning, video, and viewing. The products support many operating systems such as Windows, Windows Mobile, Linux, Solaris x86, Solaris SPARC, Mac OS X, and IBM AIX. Accusoft Pegasus latest products are now supported on Windows 7. Windows 7 will allow for easier deployment of applications built with ImageGear’s WPF technology to end-user computers. Since using WPF requires installation of the .NET Framework 3.0 or higher, it is now included in the Win7 installation. “This is the most significant Windows version introduced in eight years or more,” says Paul Firth, product manager at Accusoft Pegasus. “We’re expecting faster and wider adoption than Vista, and we are ready.” Additional information on Accusoft Pegasus imaging software development kits is available at www.accusoft.com.
