Accusoft Pegasus, a provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs), has announced the release of ImageGear Version 17 for .NET and Silverlight.
The latest ImageGear software development kits accelerate the development of imaging applications using ASP.NET, WPF, and Silverlight. This allows software engineers to build image display, compression, annotation, and processing into their applications using the latest available platforms. A new ASP.NET client-server solution within ImageGear for .NET, delivers a web-based viewer which does not require any client installation. The image viewing supports 100 different file formats including TIFF and PDF. The new release features image annotation support for WPF and Silverlight. The product promotes user document collaboration through improved annotation capabilities. For the WPF and Silverlight environments, developers have a fast display engine, high-level controls, as well as new layout options. The ImageGear .NET and Silverlight software development kits enable software developers to deploy smaller assemblies which only include the features that are required by the application. This allows for the size of applications built with ImageGear to be reduced, in order to save time and disk space. “Today marks a milestone in our efforts to combine the formerly separate Accusoft and Pegasus Imaging engineering teams. ImageGear 17 delivers additional imaging features on the latest platforms, using innovative methods,” says Jack Berlin, founder and CEO of Accusoft Pegasus. “This project integrated our very talented teams at all levels, and I’m extremely proud of the quality upgrade we are offering to our former Accusoft, and now Accusoft Pegasus customers. This release shows we are committed to supporting our customers better than any other imaging SDK provider in the industry.” More information on Accusoft Pegasus imaging SDKs can be found at www.accusoft.com.
