Nuance has announced Nuance T9 Trace, continuous touch input technology which was designed for touchscreen phones. Consumers will be able to glide finger over letters on the touchscreen to spell words quickly.
Nuance XT9 allows users to input text faster. The error correction and word prediction capabilities enable faster input as well as higher accuracy fro word completion. Users can also seamlessly switch between typing and tracing. “Touchscreen devices are experiencing explosive growth, but there is high consumer demand to make text entry easier on virtual keypads,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “Nuance T9 Trace not only makes text input fast and easy by gliding your finger from one letter to another, but it also gives our partners an innovative way to differentiate their touchscreen phone portfolio.” Nuance T9 Trace integrates directly with Nuance XT9 offering improved memory consumption, device integration times, and global language support. Nuance T9 supports more than 80 languages worldwide. Nuance T9 Trace is part of Nuance’s portfolio of mobile speech and predictive input solutions.
