ABBYY has announced ABBYY Recognition Server 3.0, the new version of its document capture and OCR solution. ABBYY Recognition Server automates document processing in enterprises.
The latest version adds batch scanning, improved indexing, as well as scripting support.
The product converts paper documents into searchable electronic files. It allows automated processing which can be managed remotely. Recognition Server 3.0 connects with different back-end systems via Scripts, XML tickets, a Web-service API, or a COM-based API.
The new version adds a Scanning Station to support capturing of documents. “Recognition Server is designed to provide easily deployable and manageable automated document conversion,” explained Andrey Isaev, director of Technology Products for ABBYY. “Our latest enhancements make the link between document input and output more seamless. Our scanning station provides intuitive tool for inputting documents directly into Recognition Server while the ‘point-and-click’ indexing and new scripting capabilities for customizing separation and routing help make output documents more suitable for further processing.”
The new Scanning Station enables batch scanning via TWAIN, WIA, and ISIS drivers. It gives users control over the scanning process, allowing them to preview the acquired images, to split the batch into separate documents, and to redact information before processing.
ABBYY Recognition Server 3.0 is compatible with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, the Google Search Appliance, and Windows Search.
