If you use ABBYY FineReader 10, you have the option to save your documents to many different output formats.
This includes the latest Microsoft Word - DOCX, Excel – XLSX, as well as PDF/A, which is recommended for long-term archiving.
FineReader 10 Corporate Edition also enables you to save OCR processed text directly into Microsoft SharePoint document libraries.
How to save documents to SharePoint from the FineReader interface: 1. Make sure that the Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server Client Components are installed on your PC and that the Web Client is running. 2. From the File menu, select On the File, and then choose Save to Microsoft SharePoint. 3. Specify your file name, format, network folder, as well as saving options. 4. Click the Save button.
How to save to SharePoint from FineReader Corporate Hot Folder: The Hot Folder utility in ABBYY FineReader Corporate Edition allows you to streamline your workflows for batch recognition and save the results to a folder, an FTP server, or SharePoint. You may follow the step-by-step wizard of the Hot Folder. From the Save Results to pull down menu, select the Microsoft SharePoint option. If required, enter the URL, Login and Password to access the SharePoint server.
