With ABBYY FineReader you can save OCR processed text into PDF documents with high security.
This will enable you to share confidential information and prevent it from unauthorized viewing or modification. With FineReader you can easily adjust your PDF file security parameters in a number of ways. For example, you can set up password protection for viewing, editing or printing PDF documents, you can also encrypt your data and control its export.
To set up passwords and adjust security parameters, go to the File menu, select Tools, and open the Options dialog box. Click the Save>PDF tab and then the PDF Security Settings button at the bottom.

How to set up a password to prevent your document from unauthorized opening:
From PDF Security Settings, Select Require password to open document and click the “...” button. In the Enter Document Open Password dialog box, enter the password and confirm it. Finally, click OK to save your password.
How to set up a password to prevent your document from unauthorized editing, copying or printing:
Select Restrict printing and editing the document and click the “...” button. In the Enter Document Open Password dialog box, enter the password and confirm it. Then select the permission settings for printing, editing, and copying text from a screen reader device. Click OK to save. How to set the encryption level:
Select your preferred level at the bottom of the dialog box. You can choose from three levels of encryption: • Low (40 bit) – compatible with Adobe Acrobat 3.0 and above • High (128 bit) – compatible with Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and above • High (128-bit AES) – compatible with Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and above
