ABBYY’s FineReader is one of the top-selling optical character recognition software on the market. In this tutorial we will show you how to save time using customized Quick Tasks.

The applications’ pre-defined Quick Tasks allow you to automate the necessary steps for common conversion tasks. The tool is trainable, as it can remember your tasks and your preferred settings so next time you can convert a document with a single click.  With the Quick Tasks, you can also easily convert books or articles into electronic formats for e-book readers, smart phones or tablets.

Here is how you can create a customized task in only five clicks. FineReader includes a My Tasks tab to make the management of customized tasks very simple.

To add a new task, click the "Create" button. On the Task Manager toolbar, click New and enter a name for your task.

Select one of the available steps in the left-hand pane of the Task settings.

Select your desired options for each step and click Finish.
